We are a german high-tech company based in Ulm and an innovative manufacturer and developer of energy storage technology. Focusing on innovations in intelligent load management and reliable battery management systems have made BOS energy storage systems and batteries one of the most popular in the caravan and boat industry in Europe. At the same time, our off grid systems provide independence from the poor power grid, diesel gensets and other sources. This has enabled us to reach key markets in rural areas in Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America with insufficient access to modern energy services.
Job description
This is what your work looks like
- Responsibility for the procurement of defined technical components and services and ensuring the timely availability of materials.
- Obtaining and checking quotations, initiating orders and subsequently tracking deadlines to ensure smooth processes.
- Participation in development projects and close cooperation with internal specialist departments in the selection of suitable suppliers.
- Supplier management and evaluation, including regular supplier visits to ensure quality and reliability.
- Development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensure the sustainable supply of materials, minimise risks and optimise costs.
- Collaboration in the further development of purchasing processes and optimisation of the ERP system.
- Introduction of e-procurement software
Profile
In order to keep moving forward
- Successfully completed studies or sound training in the field of electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification with a strong commercial understanding.
- Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing or in a comparable position within an industrial company.
- Experience in working with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- A sense of responsibility, analytical thinking and an independent, structured way of working characterise you.
- Negotiating skills and strong communication skills.
- Confident handling of the common MS Office programmes.
- Very good knowledge of German and business fluent English.
- Ability to work in a team, high degree of initiative, hands-on mentality
